Introduction

Rezound are very pleased to provide this complimentary half-day PRINCE2® Executive Briefing. The value and general content of the Components and Processes of the PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) structured project management methodology will be introduced.

The need for a structured approach to project management and how PRINCE2® meets this through its Principles, Themes and Processes, will be discussed. The requirement for establishing Customer Quality Expectations, Acceptance Criteria and Project Controls during the “Controlled Start” of a project will be highlighted. Also included will be why realistic risk assessed plans (at project and stage level) should be devised and their deadlines adhered to.

PRINCE2® is a structured method for effective project management. It is a de facto standard used extensively in the UK and internationally. PRINCE2® offers best-practice guidance on project management. The PRINCE2® method is flexible and adaptable for any type and size of project and offers an excellent management foundation for any member of staff.

NB: The briefing does not set out to teach the application of the PRINCE2® method nor does it provide skills training in project management. There is a good deal to cover in the half day and the delivery is relatively fast-paced. There will be some opportunity for discussion and workshop-style interaction during the event.

Prerequisites

There are no pre-requisites for this introductory briefing. Unless advised otherwise it is assumed that delegates have had no previous experience of PRINCE2®.
