Q. How will Microsoft Certifications help my career?

A. The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications provide the foundation for Microsoft Certification. These certifications are designed to help validate your skills on the features and functionality of key technologies. You can show your depth of knowledge in one specific technology, earn multiple MCTS certifications to show breadth across different products, or build on the MCTS to earn a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification or other Professional Series certifications.

Q. What is the difference between the not-for-resale and retail versions of the TechNet Professional subscription?

A. There are two differences. The not-for-resale version is available exclusively through Microsoft Learning Partners as part of this offer, and it does not include technical phone support.

Q. Why doesn’t this version of the TechNet Professional subscription include technical support?

A. As part of the course, you will receive hands-on training and support in the classroom by Rezound's, a Microsoft Learning Partner, Microsoft Certified Trainer. The not-for-resale version does include continuous, Live Chat support and TechNet forums that can answer most questions.

Q. What is the retail value of the subscription?

A. Because the not-for-resale version does not include technical support, we cannot estimate the exact retail value of this offer. The retail value of the full TechNet Professional subscription, however, is £289.

Q. How do I activate subscription?

A. When you sign up for one of the following courses, you receive a subscription card for the not-for-resale TechNet Professional subscription. Simply visit the TechNet Subscriptions site to activate your card online.

Q. Will I be able to purchase a new subscription at the end of the 12 months?

A. Yes. At the end of the 12-month subscription period, you can purchase a new TechNet subscription.

Q. How do I use the exam voucher?

A. You may use your exam voucher to schedule and take your exam at a participating testing centre such as the Rezound Prometric Test Centre.

Q. What is Second Shot?

A. Second Shot provides a free retake exam if you do not pass your exam the first time.

• This Microsoft Learning offer is valid November 22, 2010, through June 30, 2011, or while supplies last

• Candidates must register for courses and take the exams prior to the expiration date provided with the voucher
• Voucher expiration dates cannot be extended under any circumstances
• Expired, stolen, or lost vouchers will not be replaced. Refunds will not apply for unused exams
• One voucher may be applied toward one Microsoft Certification exam, delivered at an authorized testing centre
