Introduction
CompTIA Network+ validates the knowledge and skills of networking professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognizes a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that CompTIA Network+ candidates have at least nine months of experience in network support or administration or adequate academic training, along with a CompTIA A+ certification.
Audience
Completion
- Install and configure a network client
- Use test equipment to troubleshoot network connectivity
- Recognise and understand the main types of network technologies, protocols and components
- Understand and configure the TCP/IP protocol
Prerequisites
Delegates should have taken and passed the relevant A+ Certification examinations, plus have six months to one year of post A+ Certification support experience. Delegates should also have extensive experience of supporting end-users and PC-based systems.
Examinations
The course will help prepare the learner for the CompTIA Network+ examination.
Materials
A comprehensive CompTIA authorised student manual and other learning materials are provided.
